What an excellent presentation of the spirit of the people in SA! Unfortunately, the West sees only two types of images of 'Africans'; the pathetic starving one or the bloody savage image. We never see what connects these two on Western media.
It is to the interest of the powers that be, especially those at work in Africa now, that the West remains confused and ignorant about what is taking place in Africa. The people in this video are right: they are alone, but they are together.
In your video, I see the real hope for people, the spirit which demands that we all be treated decently. If only we Western peoples were not so comfortable in our posh lifestyles, we would understand the basic demand for dignity that, if we all joined in, could change the world.
If it were up to me, I would play this video on primetime tv over and over until gradually people started waking up. In fairness, it is very very difficult to understand African politics, even if a person is seeking such knowledge, from the incoherent bits tossed to us through the mainstream media.
The next target for oiligarchy of the world is Africa; and this is all happpening it seems, drowned out by the 'big' stories of today. Now it the time to give people this context with which to judge the propaganda that will surely be used to manage our understanding of future events.
